To become a cinematographer, formal education is not always necessary, but it can be helpful. Generally, a degree in film or a related field is preferred by employers. However, there are some technical aspects of cinematography that require knowledge of math and science, such as lighting and optics.
If you are interested in pursuing a career in cinematography, you may want to consider enrolling in a film or media arts program that offers courses in cinematography. While your background in economics and commerce may not directly relate to cinematography, it could be useful in a broader sense when it comes to understanding the business aspects of the film industry.
It's important to note that admission requirements for film programs vary by institution. Some programs may require certain prerequisites, such as courses in visual arts or media studies, while others may be open to students from a wide range of academic backgrounds. I recommend researching different programs to find one that fits your interests and qualifications.

2. If your previous studies were in a different field, you must complete a diploma or certificate course in a related field. For example, you can do a diploma in direction screenplay writing and television production, a diploma in film technology and television production (cinematography), or a certificate in advanced direction.
3. If you are already studying a related field, after completing your course, you can apply to work as an assistant director.
4. You can create a short film or direct a YouTube video to show your skill and get work early.
5. This is a practical field where, initially, you need to struggle a lot and prove your direction skills. Once you manage to get good feedback on your work, you can get work as a film director.
