National Institute of Design Ahmedabad Paldi Answered Questions

Indian nationals who belong to the General and General EWS categories need to be born on or after 1 July 2005 to apply for NID DAT 2026. In the case of candidates belonging to the OBC-NCL, SC, and ST categories, candidates born on or after 1 July 2002 may apply. Meanwhile, PwD candidates who are born on or after 1 July 2000 may apply for admission. The candidate needs to ensure that meet the age criteria before filling out the application form. It is because every detail entered by the candidate will be cross-checked at the time of counselling, during the document verification process. Any candidate found to be faking their eligibility stands to be disqualified.

The Studio Test for the B. Des programme will be conducted on April 30, 2023. The studio test will be conducted in the following six cities - Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Gandhinagar, Kolkata & Kurukshetra. The candidate was given the option to select a test city from April 3-5, 2023. Candidates who have qualified that Prelims are eligible to appear in that Mains. On exam day, the candidate needs to bring with them the admit card and a valid photo id proof.

The results of that Prelims for the M.Des programme were declared on February 28, while results for the B. Des programme were annoucned on March 16, 2023. The results have been declared online at the NID admission portal. To check their results, the candidate needs to log-in to the portal using their email id and date of birth. Candidates who have qualified in the that Prelims exam are eligible to appear in that Mains. Note that the final results of NID that 2023 will be prepared by giving weightage to that Prelims and that Mains.

This exam consists of a total of 67 questions divided into 2 sections. Section A 64 questions objective type and Section B 3 questions subjective type. The total weightage of the test is 100 marks. The National Institute of Design will release the admit cards for the DAT Mains for the B. Des program tentatively in the 2nd week of April 2025.The admit cards will be released online at the admission portal of NID.To download the admit card, you need to login by using your email id and date of birth.On the day of the DAT Mains exam, you need to bring the admit card and a valid photo id proof. The DAT Mains exam for the B. Des program will be conducted around the last week of April 2025.Meanwhile, admit cards for the M.Des program will be released tentatively in the 4th week of February 2025. The DAT Mains exam for the M.Des program will be conducted starting March 2025. 

A. NID 2023 that Prelims is the 1st step of the two-step NID admissions process. NID that Prelims comprises a written exam that candidates need to clear in order to be eligible for NID that Mains. The National Institute of Design conducted Prelims exam on January 8.
The DAT Mains for the B. Des programme includes a Studio Test, whereas the that Mains for the M.Des programme comprises a Studio Test and Interview. The Studio Test and Interiew for the M.Des programme program is conducted from March 20 onward. The DAT Mains for the B.Des programme will be conducted on April 30, 2023.

NID 2023 that Prelims is the 1st round of the two-step NID admission process. NID that Prelims comprises a written exam that candidates need to clear in order to be eligible for NID that Mains. Candidates seeking admission to the B. Des and M. Des courses need to appear in the Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT). However, B. F. Tech, M. F. Tech, and M. F. Requests for rechecking the answer booklet of the that Prelims has to be submitted online at admissions. Nid. Edu. Rechecking is restricted to whether all the answers have been marked, and whether there has been any mistake in the totaling of marks for each question in Part II of answer booklet and transferring the marks correctly onto the first cover page of the answer booklet. No other re-evaluation of the answer script or other work done by the candidate as a part of the examination will be carried out. To recheck window will open soon after the that Prelims results are announced. Note that the candidate will have to pay a certain fee to submit a request.

NID DAT 2026 (Prelims) admit card was released on December 11, 2025.Admit card was released as a downloadable PDF. This means you could download it as many times as you want.
