I don't know whether the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Kolkata offers B.Des in fashion design course or not. But being alumni of LPU, I would say that LPU offer 3 years and 4-year course in this programme,
My brother completed B.Design Fashion from Lovely Professional University and today she is successfully running her own Brand, she was also part of internship projects with leading Fashion stylists. Also, her designs are appreciated not just in India but even abroad. She always keeps on appraising LPU for different platforms provided by them.
I will be sharing a few major highlights of the Fashion Design course based upon her experience.
The School of Fashion Designing of Lovely Professional University is doing extraordinary works in the field of Designing. They are conducting Fashion Shows regularly for the students. It gives a great chance to the students to show their talent in front of a big audience. Prominent designers are also taking part in the events. So, surely it is a big opportunity university is providing to the students in LPU.
The infrastructure for the practical works is very excellent in the university. Students can enjoy the course curriculum which has given more importance to practical knowledge. Scholarships have one other significance. Students can avail scholarships based on their score in the qualifying exam or according to their performance in the University test.

The basic eligibility criteria of B.Des courses of NIFT is 10+2 in any stream. The upper age limit for B.Des courses is 23 years and five years relaxation to reserved communities. The admission in B.Des courses are done through the Entrance exam conducted by NIFT generally conducted in the 3rd week of January every year. Because you have completed your B.A. Hons. so you are also eligible for M.Des courses of NIFT. The M.Des courses of NIFT are available in the following specializations as User Experience & Interaction Design, Industrial Design, and Visual Communication. So if interested in doing the M.Des courses the application criteria is same as described above.

NIFT offers "SARTHAK" NIFT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE SCHEME in order to provide financial assistance to meritorious, needy and deserving students, belonging to the economically weaker sections of society. SARTHAK NIFT Financial Assistance Scheme" will be applicable to all the regular students of NIFT fulfilling prescribed criteria as per categories described below.
A. Parental Income ceiling per annum up to 1.5 Lakhs : Available scholarship is 100% of the Tuition Fee.
B. Parental Income ceiling per annum up to 1.5-2.5 Lakhs : Available scholarship is 75% of the Tuition Fee.
C. Parental Income ceiling per annum up to 2.5-4.0 Lakhs : Available scholarship is 50% of the Tuition Fee.
Process of Application : Documents to be submitted with the Application Form for Financial Assistance. The students are required to apply for financial assistance under the scheme in a prescribed form given at Format A. Only those applications will be considered which are complete and supported by the prescribed mandatory as well as applicable documents. The complete application should be submitted within the timeline prescribed in the Schedule in Section 9.0. The forms will be made available in their respective departments/office of the Campus Director/ NIFT website.

The direct way to get admission in NIFT is by clearing their exam and then clearing out the following GD/PI or the situation tests and getting a good rank if you want an established center.

NIFT lateral entry admission (NLEA) provides an opportunity to candidates who have completed their Diploma in relevant / related fields of Design & Technology for direct admission to the third semester of UG programmes of NIFT at NIFT campuses.
Eligibility criteria : Passed Secondary School Examination/10th AND Passed 3 or 4-years diploma recognized by AICTE/AIU/UGC or a State Board of Technical Education in courses related to Fashion / Apparel / Textile and Accessories / Home Science/ Hand loom Technology / Products / Visual Communication / Graphic Design / Industrial Design / Interior Design / Multimedia Design / Apparel Technology / Leather/ Fine arts.
The candidates who have acquired Diploma/Degree will compete at an All India Entrance Exam to get lateral admission in the 3rd semester of UG programmes of NIFT. The admission to these candidates will be strictly on merit which will be prepared based on the performance of candidates in written test, studio test/technology aptitude test, and a personal interview. The candidates selected through lateral entry will
join the regular UG students of NIFT in their second year for seats.
So if you are meeting the above eligibility criteria than can be eligible for All India Entrance Exam.

The eligibility criteria of M.Des of NIFT is given below: Eligibility criteria: Undergraduate degree in any discipline from any university or institute which is recognized by the Indian government. Master of Design (M.Des.) is an advanced course that demands an understanding of fundamentals in design and presupposes that candidates would be familiar with the basic skills and theories for successful completion of the programme. The course would not provide any basic knowledge and skill development in design as a part of its Masters programme. Note: Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply provided: (a) That they produce a proof of having acquired the minimum prescribed qualifications at the time of counselling/ admission.

Fashion and Clothing Technology course at NIFT, Kolkata is a one year duration course with a total intake of 30 seats. The course fee is about Rs 1,00,300 and the eligibility criteria is 10+2.
This is a short duration and part time evening/week end course designed for working professionals. Hence, there is no age limit.
