A: 

NIFT Kolkata offers admission to UG and PG courses through the NIFT Exam. NIFT has released the last round cutoff for admission to the B.Des,  M.Des,  B.Des.  M.Des,4 href="https://www.shiksha.com/college/national-institute-of-fashion-technology-kolkata-salt-lake-city-27351/courses/mftech-bc">M.FTech courses. Q:   What is the fee structure of NIFT Kolkata?

A: 

NIFT Kolkata offers both UG and PG programmes in Fashion Designing, Bachelor of Fashion Technology, Leather Design, Textile Design, Fashion Communication, etc. NIFT admission based on the NIFT entrance exam. At the end of the admission procedure, candidates are required to pay the tuition for final seat allotment. Find below course wise fees:

Q:   Which entrance exam is required for NIFT Kolkata?

A: 

For admission to NIFT Kolkata, candidates needn to clear the e Th National Institute of Technology (NIFT).  The exam is conducted once every year and has TWO parts:

  • Written Exams - It comprise the GAT and CAT. The GAT paper is mandatory for all programs, while only B.Des and M.Des candidates need to take the CAT. 
  • Situation Test/ Personal Interview - B.Des candidates who get shortlisted have to appear in the Situation Test, whereas PG candidates need to appear in a Personal Interview. The only exception is B.F.Tech program, where the admission merit list will be prepared solely based on GAT scores.    

The FINAL score of NIFT 2024 for the other programs will be prepared by giving weightage to the written exams and Situation Test/ Personal Interview.

Q:   Can I join NIFT Kolkata without entrance exam?

A: 

Joining NIFT Kolkata without entrance exam doesn't seem like a possibility. As per the Institution's admission guidelines, candidates must appear for the  The National Institute of Technology (NIFT) exam.  The exam is conducted once every year and has TWO parts:

  • Written Exams - It comprise the GAT and CAT. The GAT paper is mandatory for all programs, while only B.Des and M.Des candidates need to take the CAT.

NIFT Kolkata offers a BDes programme in six specialisations:

Q:   How much is the NIFT Kolkata entrance exam application fee?

A: 

NIFT Delhi BDes admission 2024 cycle commences with the release of NIFT Entrance Exam dates. As admission to this UG course is based on merit in the entrance test. Therefore, candidates are required to fill the NIFT Application form. To fill out the form, you will have to get registered, fill in personal, academic, and contact details, upload documents, and pay the application fee. The NIFT 2024 application fee is INR 3000.

In my opinion, NIFT is the best college in Kolkata.
Placements: The placement percentage is almost 100% and some students are going to higher education. The highest package is INR 25 LPA, and the lowest package is INR 3 LPA. Internship facilities are available but you better go get a job compared to internships. Top recruiting companies include top design brands like Reliance, Trends, Pantaloons, etc. The role offered were designer, certificate manager, etc.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is very good. They regularly solve the problem. The Wi-Fi speed is good. Also, the computers are LAN connected and classrooms are LAN- and projector-connected. All the lab rooms have AC. I recently used the e-library feature. The college has a hostel facility and food court inside the college and the medical facilities are helpful. Sports and games are arranged once a year.
Faculty: The faculty members are very helpful, providing us with all types of guidance and resources to complete our assignment. Our department has experienced professors; some of them are gold medalists, and they are very knowledgeable. Exams can be challenging, but they are definitely not impossible; almost 100% of students passed.
Other: This course can allow me to develop my skills while also providing me with opportunities to receive accreditation and pursue my passion. I believe this accounting course will give me a great start in my career, providing me with opportunities in the future. The festival that happened every year in the college was extremely fun and engaging, with lots of creativity. Scholarships were available for meritorious students.

I am satisfied with my college and this is the best college in Kolkata NIFT.
Placements: This course is famous because the college gives 100% placement support and recently they broke there record and gave 95% placement in 2023. The highest package last year was INR 29 LPA and the lowest package was INR 5 LPA last year. Top companies like Sparks, Ramond, etc. recruit from here. Internship facilities are available but with low salaries, it is better to get a job compared to an internship. The role includes merchandise, Range development, Production manager, etc.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is very good. They usually love the problems. The Wi-Fi speed is good. Also, the computers are LAN-connected. The classrooms have a LAN and projectors connected. All the lab rooms have AC. I recently used the e-library feature. The college has a hostel facility and a food court inside the college and the medical facilities are very helpful. Sports and games are arranged at our college once a year.
Faculty: The faculty members are very helpful. And providing us with all types of guidance and resources to complete our assignment. Our department has an experienced professor. Some of them are gold medalists. They are very knowledgeable. Exams can be challenging, but they are definitely not impossible. Overall, 100% of students passed.
Other: This course can allow me to develop my skills while also providing me with opportunities to receive accreditation and pursue my passion. In my opinion, NIFT is the best college in Kolkata.
Placements: This course is famous because the college has an 85–100% placement record and recently they broke their record in 2023. The highest package was INR 20 LPA and the lowest package last year was INR 3 LPA. Internship facilities are available, but at low salaries, it is better to get a job. Compare an internship with top companies like Arvind, Raymond and many more. The role offered was to create fabric designs and patterns for woven, kritted and printed materials for clothes.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is very good. The Wi-Fi speed is good. Also, the computers are LAN-connected, and the classrooms are also LAN- and projector-connected. All the lab rooms have AC. Library features are available online and offline. The college has a hostel facility and food court inside the college and the medical facilities are very helpful. Sports and games are arranged per year.
Faculty: The faculty members are very helpful and provide us with all types of guidance and processes to complete our assignment. Our department has experienced professors; some of them are gold medalists. They are very knowledgeable. 99% of the students passed.
Other: This course can allow me to develop my skills while also providing me with opportunities to receive accreditation and pursue my passion. Placements: Placement in fashion Communication solely depends on the area of your interest. The highest package is probably somewhere close to INR 3.5–4 LPA. Top companies like Infosys, Wipro, ITC, and many more provide internship facilities, but salaries are low. The roles offered were that of UC designer, visual communication designer, and graphic designer.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is very good. The wi-fi is good. The computers are LAN-connected. The classrooms have projectors and LAN connections. All the lab rooms have AC. I recently used the library facilities. The college has a hostel and food court inside that are available. Sports and games are arranged once a year.
Faculty: The faculty members are very helpful and provide us with all types of guidance and resources to complete our assignments. Our department has experienced professors. Some of them are professors who achieve the award. Sports and games are arranged once a year. Exams can be challenging but not difficult. They have no such passing percentage eligibility.
Other: This course can allow me to develop my skills while also providing me with opportunities to receive accreditation and pursue my passion.
