National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT)  is an autonomous body of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Govt. of India. It was made to provide knowledge and skill development in the field on Information, Electronics and Communications Technology among students. Both Nielit Patna and Nielit Shillong provides quality educational courses to its students at very affordable cost. Nielit Patna promotes more than 10 courses in IT and software stream at affordable fees and give good placement. However, Nielit Shillong offers long-term, short-term certificate, and other courses to students across the Hardware, Networking & Maintenance, and various other streams. The qualities of Nielit centres vary, so considering course offerings, faculty, infrastructure and placement records you can take decision based upon your requirements.

Candidates can be eligible to pursue ECC at Nielit Shillong if he/she scores minimum 50% in the Nielit entrance exam and has passed 12th with minimum 50% - 60% from any recognised board of education. However, the latest cutoff information for ECC at Nielit Shillong is yet to announced. 

NIELIT Shillong offers both long term and short term courses. The fees of various short term courses like BCC, CCC, ECC etc. cost around INR.4k - 8k. However, different long terms courses like O' Level in IT (Software), 'O' Level in CHM etc. cost around INR.15k - 30K.

Candidate can take ECC at NIELIT Shillong if they meets the eligibility criteria of the academic merits and have passed 12th from any recognised board of secondary education. However, NIELIT Shillong accepts admission of 25 students per batch in ECC and other programmes.
