The selection process for B.Des (Bachelor of Design) involves the Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED). Candidates need to appear for UCEED and obtain a good score to be shortlisted for counseling. The UCEED score is used for shortlisting candidates, and the selection process is based on the UCEED merit rank. The UCEED scorecard contains details of the marks obtained by the candidate in Part A and the category-wise qualifying marks. The UCEED Part A qualifying cut-off is the minimum mark that a candidate needs to score in Part A of the exam. The qualifying cut-off is not the same as the admission cut-off, which is based on the total marks obtained in both Part A and Part B. The UCEED score is valid for one year, and candidates can attempt UCEED a maximum of two times in consecutive years. The minimum UCEED score required for admission to a specific B.Des programme may vary from year to year and depends on the institute's cutoff criteria, the number of applicants, and the number of seats available. The UCEED 2024 Information Brochure by IIT Bombay states that obtaining a rank in UCEED 2024 does not guarantee admission to the B.Des program. The brochure also mentions that hard copies of the UCEED Score Card will not be available. The selection process for B.Des at LISAA School of Design involves two stages, and admission to the B.Des programme will be based on UCEED 2023 merit rank, conducted through a Joint Admission Process. The UCEED cutoff is based on the total marks obtained in both Part A and Part B of the exam, and a good score in UCEED is one that secures a rank within the top 100 candidates. The UCEED score is used for admission to several B.Des programs across partner institutes. The UCEED score is valid for one year, and candidates can attempt UCEED a maximum of two times in consecutive years
