NIT do not have lateral entry system. In NIT, Diploma is considered as equivalent to class 12th, if you want to get admission in NIT, you have to appear in JEE Mains and score a good rank.
7 years ago I got 160 marks in JEE Mains and 3091 ranking and got 64 percent in PUC. Will I get a seat in NITK?

No, it's not true. There might be a chance to get admission only if the seat is vacant.
