The future scope of energy management is expected to be very promising as more businesses and individuals recognize the importance of conserving energy and reducing their carbon footprint. As a result, there will be a growing need for professionals with specialized knowledge and skills in energy management, including energy auditing, renewable energy technologies, energy-efficient building design, and energy policy.
The average salary for an energy management professional will depend on a variety of factors such as the industry, job title, location, and level of experience. According to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics in 2020, the median annual wage for energy auditors was $74,700, while the median annual wage for environmental engineers was $94,220.
As for the number of students in the first batch of an energy management program, that would depend on the specific program and the institution offering it. It is best to check with the relevant educational institution or program for information on class sizes and enrollment figures.

NTPC School of Business is a reputed B-School that offers a two-year full-time MBA program in Energy Management. The admission process of NSB is highly competitive, and the selection criteria involve a combination of factors such as CAT score, work experience, academic background, and performance in the personal interview.
As per your CAT percentile of 81.42 and 41 months of experience in civil engineering, you may have a chance of securing a call for the personal interview at NSB. However, the final selection depends on various other factors such as your academic performance, performance in the personal interview, and the number of seats available for the MBA program.
It is important to note that the admission process of NSB is highly competitive, and candidates are advised to have a backup plan in case they are not able to secure admission to the institute. You may also consider applying to other B-Schools that offer MBA programs in Energy Management and related fields.
Overall, while your CAT percentile and work experience are good, it is difficult to predict your chances of conversion in NSB. However, you should remain positive and focus on performing well in the personal interview to increase your chances of selection.

Yes, there is reservation for NC-OBC (Non-Creamy Layer - Other Backward Class) category candidates in the admission process of National School of Business (NSB). The cutoff for NC-OBC category candidates in NSB may vary depending on the number of seats available and the number of applications received in that category. However, the cutoff for the general category candidates in NSB is around 60 percentile.
As you have scored 75 percentile in CAT 2019, you are likely to meet the CAT cutoff for NSB. However, admission to NSB is not solely based on CAT score. NSB also considers other factors such as academic performance, work experience, performance in Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI), etc. during the admission process.
It is advisable to check the official website of NSB or contact their admission office for the most up-to-date information on cutoffs and admission process.
