As a student who recently enrolled in an MBA course at PIBM, I was excited to be a part of the organisation that is very dedicated to providing industry-relevant skills through job-oriented training to give the best placement opportunities to the students. It is most important for me to get a decent placement at a reputed company for a promising career from the very beginning. I was equally impressed and surprised by the dedicated and talented faculty who are very well-versed with the quality of education they are prodiving keeping in mind the demand of the future. The kind of exposure we get here at PIBM is also very fascinating, as we can interact with industry leaders and alumni who are already working in higher positions in some of the top organisations across India. We are having live sessions, seminar and workshops where we gain real-life experience from the CXOs and CFO of reputed companies who guide us on how to improve our skills to become competent professionals in our careers. I am thrilled to be a part of this journey where I am able to get quality education with equal importance to academics, with less pressure and more exposure to the real business world.

Here at PIBM Pune, your profile does matter up to a certain level. If you have a graduation degree with 50% marks and a valid entrance score (CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ MH-CET), then you can get admission to PIBM. However, if your score is lower than 50%, then you have to give an internal assessment exam called PMAT, which will analyse your competence and existing knowledge. Once you qualify for the assessment exam, you will be invited for the GD and PI rounds, where your communication skills, personality traits, leadership qualities, and overall suitability will be assessed. Further, you will receive an email from the admissions department containing the required documents for getting admission to the desired course.

PIBM is equally suitable for a fresher as well as a candidate with prior work experience. As a student of PIBM, I have noticed that the curriculum at PIBM is designed with emphasis on skill development instead of providing theoretical knowledge. If you are a fresher, you will be able to learn such skills that are relevant to the industry based on the needs and demands of the organisations. Also, if you already have prior experience, the skills you will learn at PIBM will enhance your working capabilities, and you will be able to get placement at higher job roles in the relevant industry. The curriculum is curated with the help of industry experts who help in transforming the education system through skill-based training, tools, and certifications, which are required in the present and future by the organisation to perform multiple tasks at the workplace.

Not usually. While an MBA/PGDM from PIBM equips you with knowledge and practical exposure, most fresh graduates start in entry-level or analyst roles.Managerial positions typically require some hands-on experience, domain understanding, and leadership skills, which are usually gained on the job. However, strong performance in internships, projects, and placements can help you fast-track to managerial responsibilities within 2–3 years. In short, aiming for a managerial role immediately is uncommon, but the foundation you get at PIBM can help you progress to one relatively quickly.

Yes, PPOs (Pre‑Placement Offers) are definitely possible at PIBM.As an ex-student, I can say that one reason for this is the faculty with strong industry experience. They guide students throughout their internships, help them understand company expectations, and mentor them on how to deliver impactful results. This support increases the chances of students impressing recruiters during internships and securing PPOs for final placements. In short, with the right guidance and effort during the internship, getting a PPO at PIBM is very achievable.

From my experience as an ex-student, the faculty at PIBM for the PGDM/MBA programs has wide experience and is supportive. They come with an industry or academic background, which helps in relating classroom concepts to real-world business scenarios. They are accessible for doubts and try to help students improve concepts and skills, especially when it comes to preparation for exams, projects, and presentations. Like any institute, the benefit students get depends on how actively they engage in classes and seek guidance, but overall, the faculty's efforts do contribute positively to the learning experience.

Not necessarily. While a higher salary package can be attractive, choosing a role with better learning opportunities often pays off more in the long run.As an ex-student, I've seen that roles focused on skill development, exposure to diverse business functions, and challenging projects help you grow faster professionally. A job with strong learning potential can lead to higher responsibilities, promotions, and better packages in the future, whereas a high-paying role with limited growth might plateau sooner. At PIBM, it's important to balance salary with the kind of experience and skills the role offers, as both together shape your career trajectory.
