When I was trying to choose the right B-school, placements were always my top priority. I knew I wanted more than just a degree and academic learning—I wanted real practical learning, industry exposure, and a clear path to a good job. After doing all the research, I chose PIBM Pune, and today, looking back, I am glad I took the right decision. PIBM puts a lot of focus on practical learning and making you job-ready from day one. The training is intense but worth it. From the first day, you're constantly being trained and learning not just from faculty, but also from people who are actually working in the industry. Every week, we had corporate sessions with top CXOs and other senior professionals of top-notch industries who came in to talk to us about real business scenarios. When it comes to placements, I'd say PIBM has a good track record of placements since its establishment. In my batch, a majority of students (almost everyone of us) got placed in reputed companies like Deloitte, EY, Federal Bank, KPMG, Barclays, Accenture, BNY Mellon, PwC, Citco, Wipro, Xiaomi, Flipkart, L'Oréal, Grant Thornton, Searce, Pattern, EY, Deutsche Bank, Axis Bank, Amazon, Reliance Industries, ITC, Bisleri, Parle, Dabur, HDFC Bank, and more. The average package was around 7-9 LPA, and the highest package was 18 LPA. The placement team was really supportive. They push you, train you, and guide you at every step to crack the campus job interview successfully. All I know about these colleges (Based on the given information on their sites)UBS Mumbai might offer international tie-ups, even they also offer some dual degree programs, but placements aren't as consistent as PIBM. PG students there have to depend heavily on off-campus opportunities.Dr. DY Patil B-School, Pune, is a known name, but the placement exposure is average. It might have the brand name, but the same level of industry engagement or grooming you will not get, as one can get at PIBM.ISBR Bangalore benefits from being in Bangalore—you'll find more off-campus opportunities as the city itself has a lot of job opportunities. But again, campus placements are largely in startups or mid-size companies, and the support isn't as hands-on as PIBM.If you're serious about building a career right after your PGDM or MBA program, or you want a place where you'll be constantly pushed to grow or where you will constantly be trained through assisgnments, class room learnings, attending corporate sessions, industry visits, dual internships, live projects, interacting with top professionals, and more, I would recommend PIBM is a solid choice. Today, I feel confident, and any of the alumni of this B-school feel confident or remain as sustainable employees in the corporate world because of the practical training and industry-aligned curriculum we got at PIBM from day one.Of course, every college has its pros and cons, but in terms of placements and overall learning experience, PIBM was worth it for me.

Yes, PIBM is one of the top B-schools where the International Collaboration is given huge importance. PIBM has a strong tie-up with 15 esteemed universities across 9 countries. Here's how international exposure actually happens at PIBM:Global Joint Degree ProgramPIBM's Global Joint Degree Program is a great way to pursue international MBA education in the USA to get global exposure. It really helps you to see how business works around the world and builds a global mindset to understand cross-cultural competencies that companies look for today. The programme is structured in such a way that students will get to study in India for the 1st year and then will move to the USA to pursue their 2nd year with the university of their choice.Interaction with Global LeadersThroughout the year, we had multiple sessions with top industry professionals, many of them from global companies. I remember one amazing session by an HR leader from a US-based MNC firm—it really opened my eyes and gave me a real-world exposure to how things work internationally.International Exchange Programs & Global InternshipsSome of my friends got to work on short-term international projects. These opportunities are selective, but if you perform well, they're totally within reach.Global Case Studies in the ClassroomEven during our regular classes, we used real case studies from global companies with the help of Harvard or McKinsey cases. It helped us think beyond the Indian market and learn how businesses run across different countries.Global CertificationsPIBM offers certifications like CPA, SAP, Six Sigma, MS Project, Digital Marketing Tools, Advanced Excel, and more that are recognised globally. These were additional value to my resume and gave me scope to develop my skills that are useful not just in India, but anywhere in the world.PIBM also offers student visa assistance, TOEFL/IELTS training, industry-focused global curriculum, international faculty, and more through its Global Joint Degree program. If you're dreaming of international exposure, PIBM gives you the platform. It's up to you to grab the opportunities, stay curious, and put in the work. Being a former student of PIBM, I can say that if you choose PIBM's GJDP, your journey here can go far beyond the classroom.

Here's a quick breakdown to help you out: Which is better, ISBS or PIBM Pune? Placement QualityPIBM Pune has consistently demonstrated better placement records, with diverse industry profiles, higher CTCs, and increased corporate exposure. At ISBS, placements are decent, especially in marketing and HR, but PIBM offers placements across all domains with a more competitive edge in finance, business analytics, and consulting.Top RecruitersPIBM's corporate network includes top industry names like Deloitte, EY, PwC, ITC, Capgemini, Cognizant, HDFC Bank, KPMG, and more, which are often considered dream companies for MBA and PGDM graduates.ISBS also has reputed recruiters, but the number of Tier-1 companies is comparatively lower than PIBM Pune.Industry ExposureWhat gives PIBM an edge is its corporate training model—you get to interact with CXOs and attend regular corporate sessions right from your first semester. This helps in grooming MBA and PGDM students from day one for leadership roles in a better way. While ISBS does offer industry interaction, it may not be as structured or frequent as PIBM Pune.Average PackagePIBM's average package is generally higher, especially in Finance, Analytics, and Consulting roles.ISBS's average CTC is decent, but students aiming for premium roles in top companies might find better opportunities at PIBM Pune.If you're serious about getting management jobs in top companies, building a strong profile with hands-on industry exposure, and want a placement-driven MBA/PGDM experience, then PIBM Pune definitely has a better reputation than ISBS.Both colleges are good in their own space, but when it comes to ROI, corporate readiness, and career growth, I will suggest PIBM can be a better choice.

Both colleges are well-known in Pune, and honestly, the placement scenario depends a lot on how proactive & sincere you are, no matter where you study. But still it can be said that PIBM tends to offer a bit better practical exposure in terms of corporate interaction, dual internships, & other industry-driven trainings. We had weekly corporate sessions, case study-based learning, simulation games and other regular interactions with senior leaders from top companies like Deloitte, ITC, HDFC, EY and so many others. These sessions genuinely helped us to get & understand what companies expect, and it gave us an edge during campus placement. In terms of placements, I've noticed that PIBM has a broader mix of companies coming in, especially for finance, analytics, consulting, BFSI, FMCG, marketing, and other roles. ISBS also gets decent companies, but from what I have noticed, PIBM students are more prepared in terms of communication, industry awareness, and domain-specific skills, which reflects in the kind of roles and packages offered than ISBS's students. Also, the certification programs at PIBM—like SAP, NISM, Six Sigma, Advanced Excel, etc. are additional value, especially during job interviews. Many of us got placed in top companies with the highest package of 18 - 20 LPA. If you're looking for strong placement support, continuous corporate exposure, practical learning and skill-based training, PIBM can be a better place to get admission that gives you a bit more of an edge & professional exposure from day one. But once again, at the end of the day, your own effort and involvement plays a huge role and make all the difference.

Speaking as an ex-student of PIBM, I can say from my personal experience that PIBM really gave me more than just classroom learning and bookish knowledge. RIIM was never on my list of shortlisted colleges. While RIIM Pune might offer reasonable opportunities, there are a lot of things I experienced at PIBM that truly made a difference for me. At PIBM, the corporate exposure is a huge plus point. We had regular interactions with industry leaders from top companies through guest lectures, workshops, live business projects, case studies, and simulation games. It helped me to bridge the gap between what we learn in theory and how things actually work in the corporate sector. Another big highlight for me was the industry-required skill development programs — right from business communication and aptitude training to certification programs, and mock GD-PI rounds. These weren't just add-ons; they were part of the structured learning process and truly helped me to boost my confidence. Plus, PIBM's placement support is quite solid. The placement cell is very proactive, and the training we receive during the programme aligns well with what recruiters are actually looking for. I got the opportunity to pursue an internship and sit for the final placement through campus drives, and many of my batchmates were getting this in the same way in sectors like IT & ITES, Retail, Banking, Financial Services, FMCG, and more with reputed companies. I'm sure RIIM also has its benefits, and it might be a good fit for some students depending on what they're looking for. But personally, PIBM gave me an overall environment that focused not just on getting a job, but on developing me professionally and personally, and that's something I truly value till now.

A few years ago, I was in the same spot as you — scrolling through several MBA colleges, reading reviews of top B-schools, comparing placements, and trying to figure out which I should choose. At that time, PIBM was among the shortlisted colleges. At first, I wasn't sure. I mean, every college claims to offer the same, that is the best MBA experience, right? But something about PIBM's focus on practical learning and corporate exposure caught my attention. So that is why I took admission based on my CAT score. And to be honest! I'm glad I did. From Day 1, I noticed that they were not just sharing theoretical, bookish knowledge but also discussing real business cases, presenting strategies, conducting mock interviews, and interacting with industry experts through corporate sessions almost every week. There were also industry visits, industry networks, and more. They also offer specialised training and industry certifications like NISM, CISI, CPA, CFA, CA, and more. It felt like we were being trained for the real corporate world, not just for exams.I still remember our first corporate session where the speaker said, “This is how corporate strategies and business practices actually work in the market.” That hit me. It wasn't theory anymore. It was real, and it was exciting.Over time, I started building my confidence, my communication improved, and I understood what top companies actually look for. The faculty was always there to guide, not just as teachers, but like corporate mentors.Placements? Yes, I got placed. So did most of my batchmates — in finance, marketing, FMCG, BFSI, IT & ITES, Consulting, and more. But here's the thing — the college gives every student the platform, where you have to run the race to get the best.Outside studies, life at PIBM was fun too! Cultural fests, late-night prep sessions, chai breaks, and the friends I made — those memories are priceless. So, if you're thinking about joining PIBM, here's my honest advice:If you're ready to learn, grow, and give your best through practical learning, PIBM can shape you into a confident, corporate-ready professional from day one. Trust the process, show up, and you'll thank yourself later.Thank you!
