I'd ask you to take up mechanical at NIE because the college had a much better placement team, teaching faculty is experienced and this college has repute for its mechanical branch. For mechanical, Ford gives the highest package of Rs.6 lakhs

Ford gives the highest package of Rs.6 lakhs per annum. On an average we get around Rs.4 lakhs package.

NIE mechanical is supposedly the best mechanical stream in Karnataka. The teaching is really good with 70% placements in core companies, it is higher than any other college. The average salary package in mechanical engineering would be around

I'm afraid not. Unless you have any kind of quota i doubt you'd get a seat here at NIE. Cutoff for EC at NIE is around 3000.

I'd definitely prefer NIE mechanical. As there are a lot of campus placements here. Besides that the teaching is asking the best in Karnataka

The hostel and food facility here in the college is decent. Yes, they do provide guidance about GATE. We've a very good and experienced teaching faculty here. I'm sure they'd help you with it.
