Students at Dnyaan Prasad Global University's School of Pharmacy and Research are being encouraged toward entrepreneurship in the pharmaceutical field. The university recognizes that many pharmacy graduates want to not only work for well-established corporations but also start their own, and therefore, they have built a curriculum that provides coursework and opportunities to acquire both technical and business expertise.
Students have the chance to learn about pharmaceutical startup companies, healthcare innovation, and biopharmaceutical companies through participation in hands-on workshops, seminars, and projects. Students are mentored by faculty as well as industry experts who help students learn how to find gaps in the market, create a business plan, and navigate through regulatory requirements. Through these forms of mentorship, students will develop their entrepreneurial mindset and will be better prepared to think as entrepreneurs.
In addition, students are provided opportunities to develop skills related to the management of business challenges, including finance, operations, and marketing, which are all needed for the successful operation of small businesses. Through the examination of case studies, exposure to real-life business scenarios, and hands-on training, students will gain an understanding of how to integrate between their scientific knowledge and the necessary business operational strategies. By providing pharmacy students with entrepreneurial training, DPGU prepares them to start their ventures or assume leadership roles within the growing pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.
