While filling out the LIC AAO application form, candidates need to upload scanned image of their Photograph. Have a look at the LIC AAO photo size, dimensions and other details below:
- Photo Dimensions: 200 x 230 pixels
- Photo Size: 20 kb – 50 kb
- Photo should be taken against a light-coloured or white background.
- There should not be "red-eye"
- In case you wear glasses, ensure there are no reflections and eyes and ears are visible clearly.
- Do not wear caps, hats and dark glasses. Only religious headwear is allowed.

The basic LIC AAO eligibility criterion for a Specialist is that candidates should have a Bachelor's degree from a recognised university or institution. Candidates should be at minimum 21 years of age to apply for the LIC AAO Specialist post. The upper age limit is 30 years for AAO Specialist CS, Actuarial, Insurance Specialists and 32 years for CA and Legal posts. Have a look at the post-wise AAO Specialist eligibility below:

- Graduation
- Age limit: 21 to 30 years
However, the upper age limit is relaxed for SC, ST, OBC and PwD.

The basic pay of LIC AAO General is INR 88,635 per month. The LIC AAO Generalist pay scale is 88635- 4385 (14)-150025– 4750 (4) –169025. The LIC AAO also enjoy perks and allowances such as House Rent Allowance (HRA), City Compensatory Allowance etc.

Candidates shortlisted for appointment as Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO) in the LIC are initially posted on probation. The probation period of the LIC AAO Generalist and Specialist is 1 year. However, the LIC AAO probation period can be extended up to 2 years based on the candidates' performance. During the probation, candidates are subjected to continuous assessment. If a candidate fails to serve the LIC as per the specified minimum standards, his or her services may be terminated. The decision of the LIC is considered final in this regard.

The submission of an undertaking or guarantee bond ensures that the selected AAOs will serve the LIC for at least four years. The guarantee bond amount for LIC Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO) is INR 5 lakh. The shortlisted AAO Generalists or Specialists need to submit an undertaking to serve the LIC for four years from the date of joining. Those who fail to complete the four-year service period have to pay damages of INR 5 Lacs to the LIC.

The LIC AAO Mains exam is conducted online. There are two types of tests in the Mains exam for LIC AAO Generalist post-: Objective and Descriptive. The objective paper comprises 120 questions from Reasoning Ability, General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Data Analysis & Interpretation and Insurance and Financial Market Awareness.
