The LIC released the AAO notification on August 16. The LIC AAO notification PDF mentions the exam dates, application process, eligibility criteria, exam pattern, syllabus and result details.

The LIC AAO is different from LIC ADO post. The LIC ADO works under the Divisional Officers and help in building the business through the recruitment of LIC agents. The LIC AAO is responsible for formulating new schemes, businesses and the checking existing policies. LIC AAO also manages and files Claims and Settlements of the customers.

The recruitment of Assistant Administrative Officers (AAO) in the LIC is done through three stages 

  • Phase-I: Preliminary Examination
  • Phase-II: Main Examination
  • Phase-III: Interview

Before joining as a LIC AAO, candidates are required to give a Guarantee Bond, which is an undertaking to serve the LIC for a minimum four years period from the date of joining (including the probation). If a candidate fails to serve the LIC for four years, he/she or his /her heirs, executors, administrators will be liable to pay liquidated damages of INR 5 Lakhs + GST or the sum of amount the Executive Director (Personnel) may prescribe from time to time.

After appointed as the Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO) in the LIC, a candidate will be on probation for a period of one year from the date of joining. The LIC AAO probation period may be extended upto two years. During the probation period of the LIC AAO, candidates’ performance will be under the continuous assessment. If a candidate fails to achieve the minimum standard of his/her services, his or her services will be terminated as per the policy of Corporation.
