<p>Yes, upon the completion of BCom from HICAS, you are eligible to pursue an <a href="https://www.shiksha.com/mba-masters-of-business-administration-chp">MBA (Master of Business Administration)</a>. Numerous colleges and business schools welcome applicants for their MBA programmes with a variety of academic backgrounds, including graduates of BCom programmes. A BCom degree from HICAS provides a strong foundation in business and commerce subjects, which can give you an edge in your MBA studies.</p>
<p>Choice out of these two courses after B.Com solely depends on your interest that if you want to master in your specialisation you can go for M.Com or if you want to enter in manegerial sector you can go for MBA. <p>The final placement report 2023 is yet to be released. Once it is out, the MCom placement rate recorded during the 2023 placement drive will be updated here. Correspondance B.Com degree holders are eligible to appear for CAT, MAT, XAT etc entrance exams for admission to MBA.

CAT is the exam you need to clear to get into an IIM. Any degree, passed with minimum of 50%, is the requirement for appearing in CAT. All the best.
Yes, definitely, you get admission in IIMs but first you have to get very good percentile in CAT, so that you become eligible for IIMs and complete the GD/WAT and PI rounds.

There are no set correct answers to these questions. Please understand that the interviewers are veterans in interviewing and a not-so-genuine answer can be easily identified by them. If your institute is recognized by UGC or AICTE, then you won’t face any problem in pursuing MBA.
Yes work experience will help you understand concepts better and will/will not impact placements as it is based on other criteria as well.

A B.Com graduate can apply for jobs in any organization for an entry level opening in accounts department. The entry level job would be of book keeping, maintaining books of accounts, making JV entries, etc. A pure finance role may not be available for a B.Com graduate. With experience in accounts, one can explore opportunity internally/externally into the pure finance domain.

As per current scenario, pursuing MBA finance or any other streams in MBA with atleast one year work experience is advisable. No doubt, MBA finance has huge scope and demand and in placement relevant work experience only considered and impact the HR for negotiation. Try for finance related job and prepare for CAT examination simultaneously to get into top colleges and lead a change lifestyle. Think it twice before choosing a choice.
