Ideally, it should be solving mock exams and analysing them. This helps you to understand which topics have you missed out or are not very much comfortable with. Make sure that you know all the type of questions that can be asked in the exam. Try not to leave topics completely. Also, try to stick to the timing with your final exam timing. This will make you feel relaxed on the final exam day, and you will feel like you are giving just another mock. Also, revising some grammar rules, formulas in maths should be done on daily basis. Increase the number of mocks that you give. Solving 4 mock exams in a week would be sufficient.

Preparation can be done from Arihant Publications book name - Face to Face. All the sample papers and previous 3 years MAT exam papers are available at the back side of the book. Also, the shortcuts as to how the answer is calculated are defined in the book. It costs nearly INR 500.

Please refer to the brochure for complete details on admission into technical university of Munich (MS). You should be able to decide which exam you are comfortable with (GATE or GRE). GATE and GRE are two very different exams, hence comparison is difficult. Go through the syllabus and type of questions asked which should help you decide which exam to prepare for.
