After looking at your score, I will recommend you to go fro B.Tech. As your score is too good, you are eligible for government college and also for some top institutes. B.Tech will be much more better option than B.Sc.

Punctual and Organised.,

As we all know that JEE marks keep varying every year according to cut-off and availability of seats. But, if you score in the range of 120-140 (General marks) you will be on safer side. Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) is another way which can get you admitted in College of Engineering, Pune. Branch can be a matter of concern if you did not score well. And, if you have good marks you can choose your branch according to you rather they will allot you the same.

What is your HSC score?
Generally, for getting admission in any engineering college you require HSC, JEE or CET score.
If your percentile (50% weightage to HSC score and 50% weightage to JEE or CET score) is above 90 then you can get admission in COEP or VJTI.
Also, if you are ready to take any branch and belong to reservations then you will definitely get admission in COEP, if your percentile is above 90.

Hi Aditya,
Congratulations for your CET score!
But I doubt you will get admission in the very first round under general category. You will have to wait for the 2nd or 3rd round.
All the best!

Check out the link and compare it to last year's cutoff. Mostly you need to be in Top 100-200 for COEP.

Sr. Section Engr(Design),

TFWS category has to relatively secure a better rank than any other candidate who can be of any category ( General, SC, ST, OBC) in order to get the subsidies of the TFWS category. This happens due to the fact that the number of TFWS seats under MHT CET is relatively less and the number of students to opt for those seats are very high. So chances of getting TFWS seat are very less.

Yes, you can get a large no of Maharashtra government state engineering colleges through MHTCET. If you qualify in MHTCET, then there is no need to show your JEE marks for admission in state colleges.

49 marks in MHCET might be a low score but 45% minimum marks in 12th is the eligibility which you already have. MHCET is an annual exam conducted once in a year. Proper preparation with good study books would sail you through. All the best.

It is not possible to mention the exact cutoff, but if your aggregate score is above 75 or 80, there is a chance that you might .You should apply for CAP round and if you want R.A.I.T, fill it as your 1st preference, it will increase your chances to score admission here. The cutoff for different branches varies, so you should fill in all branches in your preferences it will increase your chances.

Yes, you can do. This is two years duration course and the minimum qualification for the course is 12th pass. The fee per year is about Rs. 80000/. The MHTCET is an engineering entrance test of Maharashtra for admission in various engineering colleges situated in Maharashtra, hence the benefit of the rank could not be considered here for this course.

It's still tough for you get into this college. You will have to wait till third round. May be in 2nd or 3rd round you will get admission. Just go through CAP round and check if you are lucky to get this college.
Best of Luck.
