Hi Jidev,
Both the courses are different and contexts would be different so you really have to decide based on what you want to do with your career. Decide if you want a research and academic career or a managerial career. After 1 more year of experience and taking the GMAT you can also apply to MBA in Canada.

MS is much better nowadays if done from institutions like IISc, ISER or abroad. Then comes MBA and BDS. MBA after B.Tech is good for higher package careers.

Hello,
I didn't have any knowledge about DNSIT and haven't got any such college name in google even. It's not like a comparison but I want to tell about Ramaiah Institute of Management. It is providing two programs,i.e. PGDM(autonomous) and MBA. Autonomous program is doing better in terms of empowering students with a proper knowledge and also the outcome in placements is relatively high with the ROI policy being followed. Irrespective of scores, talent has been playing a major role in selecting candidates to become a student.
If you really feel to grab knowledge plus placement (subjected to your efforts), then Ramaiah would be one... View more

Hi,
Either one can be done which will depend completely on your interest. MBA is ideal if you are opting for a managerial career. But most MBA programs do not admit freshers and work experience is compulsory. MS is research oriented, if you want a research or academic career in your discipline. Admission in MS is also very competitive.

PGDM is a diploma in business studies whereas MS is a degree in engineering and stands for Masters in science. MS is normally a M.Tech degree earned outside of India whereas PGDM is a Masters degree commonly known as MBA. Both are of 2 years duration however, they are both entirely different fields of study and have different career prospects. PGDM will be subjects studied in the commerce field whereas MS consists of subjects studied in the Science stream.

Both the MS and MBA are professional management degrees. The differences among these degrees are as follows:
1. Recognition: The Master of Management Studies MS course is recognised by AICTE, whereas UGC is responsible for the MBA.
2. Focus: In comparison to the Master of Business Administration (MBA), the MS course focuses more on theoretical learning.
3. Popularity: The MBA is more widely recognised in India as well as abroad than the MS course and is popular among students.
4. Fee: The tuition fee for MBA courses is usually higher than that for MS courses; MBA is also more common than MS

Yes, you can convert the interview call of Dalmia with that CET score, provided you perform really well in the GD-PI rounds. Apart from Dalmia, you can consider colleges like SIES, Chetana, IES, etc., as backups.
Wish you all the best.

Retired Head of Sixth Forms, UK,

Hi Mudit,
The only exemption you can expect is an IELTS or TOEFL waiver, since you have completed your Masters from UK. GMAT or GRE is a mandatory requirement as applicants with high work experience of 10-15 years can expect GMAT waiver.
It is quite difficult for international students to be exempted from such requirements. However, you can still write to the university and have a chat on this. Good Luck.
Best,
Anjali
