Don't worry much there are plenty of opportunities out there once you sit for national level entrance.
Exams like NMAT, MAT SNAP and CMAT are relatively easier than the likes of CAT IIFT and XAT. Though, among the easier exams mentioned, I feel NMAT and SNAP are worth giving due to the following reasons:-
NMAT - No negative marking; can book the exam as per your convenience; max. Of three attempts provided; no GK (if you dislike it); tentative cutoff for NMIMS 2017 = 209; clear the cutoff & a call is guaranteed; probably the costliest exam (1950 for one attempt); best college = NM Mumbai. SNAP Negative marking; no sectional time-limit and cutoffs (explicitly mentioned); GK included; best colleges = SIBM Pune & SCMHRD. When it comes to t... View more

There is no difference between the entrance exam for MBA and PGDM. CAT/XAT/SNAP and other entrance exams are there for MBA/PGDM.
MBA colleges are affiliated to a university, whereas PGDM is offered by autonomous institutes. IIMs also offer PGDM degree. Check the below link for MBA colleges-

Hello,
A calculator is never allowed to carry during an MBA entrance exam. Instead, rough sheets are provided for calculation purposes. FYI, CAT exam includes an OSC (On-Screen Calculator). Good luck.
There will be certain questions asked about your graduation score but if you have scored well in MBA entrance exams then I don’t think there would be any problem.
Hello Govind,
All the MBA colleges allot admission based on open test scores. Therefore, you will have to give an entrance test to get admission into a good MBA college that will guarantee your placement. No B-school can guarantee placement. Even if some B-school is promising it, then it’s a marketing gimmick. If you want a good placement, you are advised to appear for CAT, XAT, SNAP, etc.
An E-MBA, or an Executive Master of Business Administration, is also a two-year program, but it's aimed at business executives with five years' managerial experience.

If you can afford one more year and you do not have any responsibility as of now to earn or something, please go ahead and prepare for the entrance test and try again next year.
PS: Assuming you are a pass-out of 2016 or 2017.
If you are pass-out of 2015, it depends on you. Whether you take it or not.
Since you have lost one year, it would be better for you to pick up a job and after gaining 3 years of experience explore Executive MBA or Distance MBA or Part time MBA. You can also explore full time MBA after a couple of years and then take advantage of your pre MBA work experience during the campus placement process.
