First of all, congratulations for your selection in JEE Mains and as you said, you are going to give JEE advance. So, the first step you will do is to get the course for advance and then study topic wise by YouTube video lectures and don't go in deep. Just take the basics of that particular topic and try to solve the problems in your mind. This will help you in advance.

I will suggest you to first strengthen your fundamentals as it is very important for your class 11th and 12th board and very well needed for the IIT exam. IIT exam is not a rocket science, you just need to be more dedicated to proper time management as you have to balance your 11th with IIT preparations.

SAT & JEE Mains are two of the toughest exams. Both are for entry to graduate courses. I feel both are equally tough. My opinion is JEE Mains is a little tougher than SAT. But it sure helps if you are attempting both.

You have good marks in JEE. You can get government colleges of your state it's better to try once in the state-level counselling. Taking drop is not a good option because to get NIT, you must have 75 percentage in 12th so if you take a drop, then also you will not get any NIT software scoring good marks so if you take a drop, you should also try for improvement in board exam, then it will be beneficial.

First of all, you should check of all the options that you have in your hand. If you are devoted towards IIT and you think you can do it, then you should take a drop but remember drop is really frustrating so you should have enough to manage with it. Another factor affecting it is that it has to based on your this year marks. If you score around the cut-off so you can try but you have to prepare yourself to get around 200 marks. Yes, you can apply for admission. But keep one thing in mind that you can't pursue two degree courses at the same time. So, if you get a college, then leave the previous one.

You can start for IELTS anytime, there are many resources online which can provide you right guidance. For a better score, please make sure you invest more time in practicing sample questions before exam.

Generally, 4-6 months of dedicated preparation is considered and should suffice for one to crack CAT. And, your English is weak, you need to daily put in efforts to improve it. Read the newspapers (especially the editorial columns), books like "Word Power Made Easy" to improve vocabulary, sites/apps for handy practice, English movies/serials (with subtitles), etc. Also, try to convers ate with people more in English to improve your diction and accent. You first have to clear JEE Mains exam and then only, if qualified in mains, you'll be able to give JEE Advanced exam. In this exam, you have to be in top 600 AIR to book your seat in IIT.
Refer good books, be regular in studies and most important, don't give a damn what others think.

There is no one answer to this. As you already know the course for CAT is not that difficult. CAT tests your speed and accuracy. Hence you need to practice a lot. Whichever coaching class provides you more practice materials and more tests, I would recommend that you join that.
