Probability of qualifying in JEE Advanced doesn't depend on your 10th grades in any way. So stop making such calculations and instead work hard to get enough marks in intermediate, minimum 75% is needed in intermediate in order to go for JEE. After that you need to prepare well and give your JEE Mains exam, after you qualify that you should prepare well for JEE Advanced exam, after qualifying that you're good to go. If you have got good scores then you can study in the best colleges, if not it's okay you can go for colleges which are suitable for your score. EDUCATIONAL CONSULTANT,

It is a good question. Preparation from Under graduation helps to pass the exam easily. A Lot of students are studying and willing to get into IIMs but they are not able to. The CAT entrance is not like an engineering or medical entrance. It tests ones mental ability, thinkability, communication skills, etc.
The best thing to be done is preparation from UG itself.
If you are preparing for CAT then no need of separate work for MAT. The Syllabus is almost same. I was also a student who prepared for CAT immediately after my graduation. The important things which you should look into while preparing for this exam are as follows:

While pursuing B.Tech it is very difficult to prepare, but if you have the determination and passion to do so, then you could do definitely. You have to solve previous year papers of both JEE and WBJEE. Study physics, chemistry, and maths of class 11th and 12th again and all topics must be clear in your mind. In B.Tech you, however, manage to pass the examination, since most of the 1st year of B.Tech syllabus resembles 11th and 12th class syllabus so you will not face many difficulties in that. After you change your college, you have to again study the 1st year, which isn't a much problem if you get a very good college. Rest everything is ... View more

Prepare for JEE main but also focus on some basic concepts as BITSAT check your concepts.
You can join any good coaching institute.
You should start solving previous years’ questions and mock papers as this will boost your confidence and will help you in understanding paper pattern and types of questions asked.

College Selection Expert,

JEE Mains exam is considered as the toughest exam in the engineering field and the syllabus of JEE Mains is designed in such a way that all the portions of class 11th and 12th fall under its syllabus. So, just preparing for JEE Mains is enough to prepare for SRMJEEE but there is one thing, only 2 lakh students qualify for JEE Advanced exam and every year 11 lakh students appear for the exam so, what these 9 lakh students do? A little bit of preparation and overview about the syllabus and questions is quite enough to crack the exam easily.
One thing, just see the syllabus of SRMJEEE and then check if any topic is missing or not and afte... View more

Hello,
So, buying these books separately for each topic is not a good idea. I would suggest you to take help from study materials which covers the syllabus for all the topics in a single book. So, you don't have to carry 10-15 books with you. You can buy IIT JAM Study Materials for your exam preparation. This will give you an idea about the pattern and difficulty level of the questions. Make notes of all the important stuff. Thank you.

It’s a nice query to ask. Almost students who want to pursue engineering are faced with this issue. But I would advise you not to worry. What needs to be done, one has to simply do it. Having said this, I want to allay your fears. If you are preparing for JEE then you need not prepare separately for WBJEE. Having said this, it does not mean that you can just relax. There are still some things that you must do to score good marks in WBJEE.WB Government has already issued notification for exam that is to be conducted on 22 April 2018. Yes, if you have prepared for Mains well definitely you can. But please don't presume a number before going to the exam coz it destroy's the way to give your exam try to solve as many right answers you can don't overthink because it leads to inaccuracy in a hurry as it not a small task you have to do around 120 questions. So, just be sure that you'll give your best shot without thinking anything else. If would suggest you to refer Arihant Publication's BITSAT book as I've seen direct questions from that book if you have already prepared all the concept just solve that book in the remaining time you' ll do good.
All the best.

CLAT does not require you to have a humanities base, even humanities students will find it completely unrelated. The break up of CLAT is General English, Quantitative Aptitude upto 10th class like pipes, time and distance), etc. , Legal GK, Legal Aptitude and Legal Reasoning. Preparing for CLAT with Class 12th is the perfect choice. Surely, it is a bit of a hassle, but if you can do both, then your preparations would be great, because you would get ample amount of time. If you prepare before class 12th, then it's just tedious and not worth it. If you prepare after class 12th, then it is very less time and you cannot complete the syllabus.
