Candidates with a B.Sc degree in any of the subjects can apply for M.Sc (Biotechnology) at Jadavpur University. B.Sc degree must be obtained with a minimum of 55% marks (SC/ST candidates 40% marks).

MSc biotechnology is a 2 year course offered by the university . The fees of the course is around 35,000. The cutoff may vary due to different reasons depending upon difficulty level of exam and no of students appearing for exam .

Eligibility: Intermediate (with the combination of Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Statistics, Computers, and Economics) / PUC or equivalent with Physical Science and Mathematics/Intermediates with BiPC (Physics and Chemistry)
However, BiPC Candidates have to do Bridge course consisting of Intermediate Maths for 2-years. /3-years Diploma with Maths/Physics /Chemistry/Intermediate with Certain Vocational Subjects.

But atleast you have to satisfy minimum eligibility criteria of Assam University that 55%(45% for SC/ST) marks in BSc (qualifying degree) and 50% in exam.

The eligibility criteria of M.Sc. in Chemistry (Organic) of KUK is given below.
Eligibility Conditions: B.Sc (Hons.) in Chemistry/ B.Sc. (Pass) with Chemistry as one of the major subjects with at least 50% marks in aggregate or any other Examination recognized by Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra as equivalent thereto.
So from above, you are meeting the eligibility criteria of asked programme and the admission will be based on merit in qualifying exam i.e. B.Sc. so your chances of getting admission in KUK are very good enough.
