The best books for JEE are NCERT books. Once you are done with these or want some extra edge over your preparations on each lesson here are some standard reference books:
Physics* Concepts of physics by H. C. Verma part 1 and 2.
Chemistry* Pradeep publications volume 1 and 2 of each theory and objective.
Maths* R.D Sharma volume 1 and 2.

Hello Sanju,
Against all hope, central government has established "National Testing Agency" to hold exams of pan India nature. It was announced that on the lines of NEET, there will be only one test through out India for engineering aspirants. Let's hope for the best.

M.Sc Physics is a postgraduate course based on the study of all branches of Physics. A candidate has to be a B.Sc in Physics graduate from a recognised university in order to become eligible for this course. M.Sc Physics is a two-year programme. If the course is done through correspondence then the duration of the course is two years minimum and three years maximum. According to the cut-off lists of Thapar, your rank can get you in ECE or ENC easily.
So, I think, yes. You can get in 2nd or 3rd cut-off list of Thapar.

Hi Gosai, work hard on your studies, if you want to study in a good university around 75% is required. A minimum of 55% is required for other colleges. You must also take the IELTS to meet English language requirements. Basically to study in Canada you must have good academic grades. You should also start checking university websites for entry requirements and start preparing accordingly.

The chances are high if you belong to Odisha state. If you are from All India, then from this year, it is tougher. It's hard to predict because the institute is added to JoSAA for the first time this year, which means there are high chances of high cutoff in All India quota. But the process is same for Odisha domiciled category. So it depends on the quota.

AIEEE 2018 eligibility criteria:
Those who have born on or after Oct 01, 1990 can apply for AIEEE 2018 examination. But those who belong to categories such as SC, ST, and PWD will be age relaxation with the upper age limit by 5 years. This means that those who are born on or after Oct 01, 1985 are eligible to apply for the examination.
