Which state do you belong to? You need minimum 75% in class 12th to be eligible for JEE Mains counselling, and if you don't have minimum 75% marks in class 12th, then you need to be in the top 20 percentile of your state board.

With 79 marks in COMEDK 2018, your rank will be around 20,000-22,000 and you can get some good colleges with this rank in Karnataka (for general category). If you are having Karnataka domicile then you will get better colleges and branch.

Dates for PU-CET (PG) 2018 have not been announced yet by the officials. However, the exam is expected to be conducted in the second week of June 2018. The exam will be conducted for 1 hour 30 minutes.

With a score of 90, you can expect a rank between 13,000-15,000 in COMEDK 2018, however, these are approximate prediction you can cross check it with Shiksha rank predictor.

Hello Jeya Suriya,
It's only from last year that Tamil Nadu government shifted from common entrance exam to 12th exam as basis for admission. Hence there is not much statistical data available to predict any trend for benefit this year. On the other hand many seats were not filled up and hence all those who wanted admission got it. These facts perhaps tell us that a student will definitely get admission in one of the engineering colleges if meeting all criteria. This trend is expected to continue this year also.

The application process must ideally start a year ahead before the intakes. Fall intake in the USA starts typically during August or September. And hence you should by now have started the process if you are targeting 2018. For UG studies, you must take SAT or ACT and TOEFL. Proactively, start researching for university admission requirements, deadlines and prepare accordingly. Though most of the top ranking universities have limited time.
