For a Preliminary, they are selecting 6 Times more candidates for the post to be filled up i.e. if there are 400 posts, then they will pass 2400 people in preliminary examination. For preliminary exam, there will be an objective type of questions.
Gujarati and English - 150 Marks (75-75 Each)
Maths and Logical Reasoning - 150 Marks
General Studies - 200 Marks
In First Paper Gujarati and English. Let’s call it Paper I. It covers entire grammar of these two subjects and For Gujarati, they will also ask about Gujarati Literature like Poet and writer of any famous Poem, essay, Short stories, Novels etc.

For the first question, you have to practice still life in pencil. Just pick any random objects of different materials, place them and start making them on paper. Make sure you shade background and foreground as well. The second question will be based on your specialisation, for eg: applied art candidates will be expected to make a composition on given topics in mediums such as water color, poster, pencil color, oil pastels, etc. The final question will comprise of theory questions related to art. It's not too difficult, all the best.

No, it is not legal. M.Sc is a professional course and as per the new AICTE norms any professional course cannot be done via distance education and students are required to maintain 75% attendance.

Yes, it is true that degrees from open universities were not considered for all types of jobs or vacancies. Earlier, most of government jobs demanded about regular courses. Currently, this trend has changed. Now a days if we look at most of government vacancies they do not talk about regular degree. They rather publish: A degree from a University established by law in India or a degree recognised by the Government. In both cases IGNOU degree are eligible!
