All the admissions are through Common Admission Test (CAT-MGU) for which both the score in the entrance test and the marks for qualifying examination will be considered for preparing the rank list.There is only a single online application for applying for the Entrance Test (CAT-MGU) and for giving options for admission to the various academic programmes in the different teaching departments.
If a candidate submits more than one application, his/her candidature is liable to be cancelled.

You will need a Bachelor's degree in either computer Science or mathematics or closely relevant fields. You must be strong in mathematics and have good skills in stats, calculus etc. You may have to take GMAT or GRE. IELTS or TOEFL is also required as you are an international applicant. The admission requirements are different, depends where you want to study. Abroad is a very generic and broad term. First of all decide where to study.

For M.Sc zoology, you should have done your graduation in zoology. You will have to give entrance exams for taking admission in any college for completing your Masters. Check the dates or the entrance exam and the eligibility along with the syllabus and start your preparations accordingly.

The placement in XIMR currently is a little slow, however quite a few students have been placed and with good packages. The average package over here is 5 LPA.

Selection Process
Every institute follows a selection process of its own. Most of them accept scores of entrance tests conducted by them.
Some universities proceed with the students who qualify the entrance exams and move them to next filtering stage that is a personal interview or group discussion round.
Further, universities may undertake a comprehensive counseling procedure for final selection for admission to M.Sc. Microbiology.
There are many institutes which prefer to take direct admission in this course as per the merit list based on marks scored in B. Sc. Microbiology.
