If you think you need to drop a year you should definitely take a gap of one year and register for coaching to clear your NATA/JEE Mains-2 papers. However, you should only take this path if you feel you will be unable to cope with preparations during or after your +2 level of schooling. Good Luck!!
Slim chances would recommend you to look for private college. All the best.
I am from IIEST, Shibpur. I have a friend from architecture department.
Saying frankly, those guys are awesome, they get real life tasks starting from first year itself.
So, you may get IIEST, Shibpur as per your rank. But competition is high.
Last year, the final cut-off was in the range of 250 to 290.
The cut-off generally varies according to the competition and toughness of paper each year.
Keep trying. Best of luck for your future career endeavours.
MSRIT takes admissions on the basis of your NATA for B.Arch and on the basis of COMEDK and KCET for B.Tech courses. Your JEE Mains paper - 2 marks will not be valid for 5-year B.Tech course. Kindly mention your NATA marks.
No, your chances are nil unless you are from reserved category. Unless you have a rank of 15k or less, in paper 2, you can’t get a seat in unreserved category, in VSSUT.
I will not demotivate you, but with this mark and rank it's not possible to get a government architecture college as they all close under 3000 rank and 230+ marks.
No, JMI offers diverse options to students from various castes to get admission. Moreover, being general and from a different state, you should score a minimum of 270 marks to choose your desired branch. Best of luck.
Percentage of 12 board do not vary in college counseling. We can't predict exactly marks for IIIT Nagpur but you can see exact rank of JEE Main from the site of jossa. http://josaa.nic.in

I find your query is quite interesting. Let me try to answer. A student after passing 10th exam has two choices. Firstly he can continue for 11th and 12th and pass his HSC exam. The second choice is to seek admission in Polytechnic for doing Diploma. Many students follow this route and then subsequently take admission in an Engineering College via what is known as lateral admission mode. Here I would like to caution you. The students who follow this are unable to study any other course since the minimum requirement of any other course is invariably 12th. So, please be aware of this before you decide your next course of action.
A score of 220+ is must. If score is around 300 and more, then you will be assured a seat. Visit the respective website for more details.
Your son will get a state government college in these marks.
