Hi,
The ranks depend on your category and home state. If you belong to Telangana then you can get based on your home state rank (ranks for the students in the same state).
For general category, your rank should be below 6000 (other state) for getting civil engineering. If you belong to Andhra Pradesh / Telangana then your rank should be below 10000 for civil engineering alone.

Information Science|Research,

It's in a simple sequence, PESIT
BIT
BMSIT
SMVIT
NIE
Dayanand Sagar
These are based on Placement and Faculty
and so one you can CS in these but I guess ranks will go up if that happened the most important step is trade IS for CS. It's the same under VTU except DSCE which, is Autonomous so there are better syllabus and more, much more holidays for internship and projects. So to the order, CS and then IS not move to next and so on till you get one.

There is nothing tough about the offline exam. The factor which matters is practice. Since, as the beginning, we are habitual of practicing on paper, giving tests, solving questions, making notes and everything.
So, many students become a little nervous about the online mode. As the JEE Main 2018 dates are getting close. Their anxiety level also increases. So, for being comfortable, you can choose the Offline exam for the start.

#NITian,

You still have time to cover up your 11th concepts. Study well for boards and try to score 75% at least and then work well for 11th and 12th concepts. practice as much as you can and you will get a good score.
Good luck!

Hello Srinivasarao,
The admission is based on your board exam marks alone and there is no separate entrance exam.
The admission for the other state students is similar to that of Tamil Nadu students.
But, the admission portal would be available only a little later than the Tamil Nadu students admission portal.
If you are a Tamil Nadu native, you need to produce a nativity certificate.
