Hi Samreena,
The Maximum Age for the B.Des. Programme at NIFT is 23 years as on 1st October, 2017. The upper age limit may be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribe/ Person With Disability (PWD). So If by the time of registration, i.e. filling the entrance exam forms, one is 23 years and not yet 24 years old then he/she is eligible to apply.

What is your HSC or equivalent score in twelfth standard?
Secondly, which branch you want accordingly if your percentile ( 50% wattage to MHT CET score and 58% wattage to HSC OR equivalent score ) is above 90 at least then there is a chance that you can get in.
For more information, the check DTE website for cutoffs of last year or you can also search on Google for last year cutoffs .so you will get some idea.
All the best.

Communication Skills Expert; Car...,

My answer is not on behalf or for the university in the question but there is one thing common to all as a rule, you can do a postgraduation in a subject that you have studied in graduation. However, it is not applicable in mass communication subject (PG).
For psychology and even literature, it is applicable.
Hence I shall say that mass communication or journalism is possible.

Hello,
Your percentile is quite good. You will definitely get shortlisted for GD-PI round on the basis of this score, but after that, your admission depends on the GD-PI round because all the academic scores only have 30% weightage for the selection process.
