Hi there. If you have got the citizenship of India, only then can you apply under general quota. If you hold an OCI and do not have a domicile of India you can't be considered at par with general category students.

Check last year's cutoff (Ist, IInd. ), from that you will get an idea about your chances, because this year's cutoff will be almost similar to that of previous years. Also, keep working on your other options. If you get DU, then nothing is better than this. But, even if you don't make it, then there is nothing to worry, because it is not everything, you must have backup options.

For your queries regarding admission in M.Sc, I'd suggest you to visit the Delhi University official website and check the criteria for the same. I think 50% seats in DU are filled on the basis of merit, I.e., your marks in graduation. (They have cutoffs for this.) And the rest of the seats are filled through an entrance test which is conducted by DU only. I'd suggest you to visit www.du.ac.in for more precise details.

FUTURE ENGINEER,

Admissions are purely done on the JEE Mains rank so I’d suggest you to visit josaa.nic.in and check the previous year’s cutoffs of your home state NITs as in most of the cases it is easier to get home state NIT because of home state quota.
