Dear Rakshit,
Its typical to change college but not impossible. If you have good marks in first year, it will be more easy to change. You just have to write an application for it & have to put genuine reason for changing college. If both the colleges agree, then you can.
It varies based on the board results that you obtained in 12th and if the number of students having marks more than 90% then the cutoff ratio is going to be high obviously. They consider each and every subject score and calculate it, hence in such a way they sort out the students as per respective course requirements.

If you have already completed a degree in M.Sc. (Mathematics), I do not see the point in getting another degree in Maths (Applied). M.Sc in maths degree holders would have the same scope even if you complete another M.Sc. in applied mathematics. The scope of M.Sc is very much demanding and you can gain a respectable job in this area after completing the program with good grades. After passing master degree in science, you can go for a research study in top organizations such as BAARC, ISRO, etc. You can also work in a government and private sectors in various technical and non-technical posts.
Check it using your score:

Hi Shubham,
A very good GRE score will enable you to seek admission, they will also check your overall grades, reasons for the extended time you took, recommendation letters from your teachers, etc. The idea is to submit a very strong application and on time.
