Hi Rashmi, Sound recording and mixing is a good career in itself, irrespective of the gender. It is more about the passion for the particular field as it is more of a behind the scene job. I can't give you a statistic to support this but being in various recording, mixing and editing studios myself, I can vouch that there is good blend of both the genders in all the various streams channeling out of Mass Communication.
