UPSC aspirant,

The most popular and common jobs available are the scientists positions in DRDO, BARC and ISRO, and many other labs like IPR. For DRDO and BARC you have to apply for GATE or BARC written exam. Sometimes DRDO makes direct recruitments for its particular labs but they are not very regular with that. Another option available for you is to qualify NET JRF and then apply for assistant professor in some state colleges or colleges affiliated to universities.
Also, you may apply for private universities as the pay scale is almost the same for recognised universities. Less preferable option is to start teaching in some coaching centers of IIT-... View more

Hello pranayana,
It depends on your interests and career plan. The options after B.Sc in Biotech would be to do your Masters, and then do your doctoral studies, if you wish to be in the area of Research or a job in academia. Some options are available for getting a job in the area of Production control or Quality Analyst in organizations such as Biocon, You should be really good with your basics on concepts such as Fermentation technology, Bio-remediation etc. However, it is worthwhile doing your Masters and your doctoral studies Ph.D and then trying for a job. What really matters is your interest and the career plan that you have plan... View more

College Selection Expert,

Actually after graduation admission in various programmes /courses depends on percentage and grades. But most important is individuals interest. If you ask me personally, as you are a PCM student, I will advise you to go for Masters programs / research in physics/chemistry or mathematics from a good University/ College. In India we have a huge demand of academicians /teachers. More over future of teachers is very bright in India.
Unfortunately a very little percentage of students are looking for higher education. It is not a good sign.
Wish you all the best
