The Placement Process at AFMI aims to match the requirements of the Corporate World with the aspirations of the students thereby facilitating the achievement of synergy between the two. The entire placement process takes three-to-four months. Through a series of presentations and job postings, you have the opportunity to learn about recruiting companies from India and abroad. Placements commence with a series of pre-placement talks (PPT) by recruiters to the student body about the organisation, their philosophy and their expectations. Students respond by submitting expressions of interest to them. On their part, recruiters select suitable candidates, draw up a shortlist and inform the Placement committee, who in turn broadcast the same to the students. They then hold interviews on campus and make offers. Recruiters can also conduct off campus interviews with students in special cases. The bulk of the placement process is during a ten days window, however the process of final interviews and placements continues for more than a month. The Placement committee will equip you with the tools needed to effectively leverage your key strengths and previous work experience in securing your chosen job.

One of my friends had done a B.Sc in agriculture from the Lovely Professional University. So here I am sharing some of the details regarding the LPU. You need to clear LPUNEST and you should have 60 percent aggregate marks in medical or nonmedical and your age should be a minimum of 16 years. The fee for the programme is 120000 per semester but the scholarship you get from LPUNEST will reduce the amount of the fee.

The major emphasis of the programme is to get the students acquainted with knowledge and hands-on experiences in the above-mentioned discipline and apply that knowledge to high-value agricultural production in a sustainable manner.
The ICAR-approved programmes include B Sc (Hons. ). AgricultureM. ScAgriculture {Horticulture (Fruit Science) M. ScAgriculture (Agronomy) M. ScAgriculture (Genetics and Plant Breeding)The minimum age required for enrolling in the programme is 16yrs. Students may be given an option to go for a 4 weeks study tour to USA/ European countries or any other country as decided by the University subject to conditions. There is also an option to join a partner university abroad for a semester.
Emphasis on case studies and inter-personal-based teaching to develop skills in analytical thinking and reflective judgment by reading and discussing complex, real-life scenarios are given. This year the maximum salary offered to a student was 19.25 Lacs per annum while the average salary was 4.5 Lacs.
