Established as a private university in 2016, Brainware University (also known as BWU) is located in Kolkata, West Bengal. Recognised by the UGC, the university offers a total of 55 UG, PG, doctorate and diploma courses across departments such as Engineering, Science, Pharmacy, Law, Commerce and Multimedia among others. Brainware University Scholarships 2023
In order to encourage its meritorious students, Brainware University offers various State Government and Central Government-sponsored scholarships. The university has disbursed a scholarship amount of over INR 2 crore so far. Students with bright academic backgrounds are eligible to avail merit-based scholarships. Also, candidates who are from a financially weaker background are eligible to avail of need-based scholarships. Spread over 9 acres of area, Brainware University has state-of-the-art infrastructure, including modern labs and workshops, and emphasises research and extension activities. There are two boys’ hostels and two girls’ hostels, a library, a sports complex, and a medical facility inside the campus. Supported by the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), the university established Brainware University Business Incubation Centre (BWU-BIC) in 2020 to boost the innovative and entrepreneurial mindset of students.
