Q:   Can I submit The Neotia University BSc admission fee in cash?
A: 

No, The Neotia University does not accept cash payment during any stage of the BSc admission process. During the admission process, applicants are required to pay the application fee (non-refundable), provisional admission fee, one-time fee and the remaining amount of the first-semester fee (after adjusting the provisional admission fee). All these fees must be paid using online payment modes, such as NEFT, UPI, Debit Card, Credit Card, etc. The amounts of the fees payable during the admission process are as follows:

  • Application Fee - INR 300
  • Provisional Admission Fee - INR 20,000 (INR 10,000 for BSc (H) in Applied Psychology)
  • One-time Fee - INR 29,000 (INR 82,000 for BSc in Nautical Science)
  • Remaining amount of the first-semester tuition fee ranging from INR 25,000 to INR 1.62 lakh. The exact amount depends on the choice of specialisation

A: 

The IMU CET online application form is expected to be released soon. The official date for application form and other events will be announced by the Indian Martime University. Candidates can apply for IMU CET 2026 through online mode only. The link is made available on IMU’s website. The IMU CET online application form consists of three portions:

  • Personal Details
  • Academic Details
  • Payment Details

Candidates have to fill in these three portions. Once the payment is successful, the candidate’s dashboard will appear, from which they can download the filled-in application.

Q:   Can I get direct admission to The Neotia University?

No, you will not get direct admission into The Neotia University. Most courses have merit-based admissions wherein eligibility will be determined by your last qualifying examination. Personal interviews are there for PG courses. While, PhD admission will be based on national/state-level entrance exams. Good for knowledge but not for placement.
Placements: It was there some years ago, but since the year I joined, the placement has dropped, and only a few cadets are getting placed here. It's not even 50%. They're trying to place us, but not in good companies. Firstly, they assured us that they would provide 100% placement, but I can't see them staying true to their word.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure was good when it was built, but the maintenance by the college is very poor. They choose the cheapest way to repair and use that material for a long time. Accommodation isn't enough for boys who stay in a group in one room. The food quality isn't too good; we have to raise our voice every time for food.
Faculty: The faculty is good here, no doubt. They're perfect at their work, but they're restricted from sharing their knowledge because there are not enough practical instruments here to teach us in depth. Those who want knowledge can come here, but don't expect anything else from the college.
Other: The campus is huge, and they conduct many programs here.

I am very happy, absolutely satisfied.
Placements: Our batch has students from CSE (AI&ML). Overall, it is a very active and successful batch. The placement record of our course is quite good compared to other streams in the same year. Almost 75-80 percent of students are placed in various reputed companies. The average package is 4-5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is quite good and supports the overall academic environment, with spacious and well-ventilated classrooms with proper seating arrangements, all classes containing projects and Wi-Fi, a library, and good sports facilities on campus.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified, helpful, and supportive, the curriculum is updated and industry-relevant, semester exams are moderately difficult but fair with a good pass percentage, and overall the college offers good value for money with very strict exam conditions.

Good faculty, a beautiful campus, nice people, and good placement.
Placements: 80-90% of students were placed. The average package is 4-5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Wipro, Infosys, Tata Motors, etc. 80% of students got internships at Spider X, Tata Motors, Wipro, Infosys, and other companies. Our top roles in these companies are web developer, software developer, data scientist, cloud engineer, and software tester.
Infrastructure: We have smart classrooms, Wi-Fi availability in hostels, a swimming pool, a multipurpose hall, playgrounds, and every sports facility, as well as a medical hub for health issues, cafeterias, and opportunities for singing, dancing, public speaking, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and highly qualified. This college also prepares you for the industry. Semester exams are really tough, but if you study well, they will be easier. The pass percentage is around 80-85%. Overall, I would say the college is good for a career.

TNU appears to offer a solid campus life with good infrastructure and helpful faculty.
Placements: For the academic year 2023–2024, TNU reported an overall 71.97 percent placement rate. For the CSE (AI & ML) stream specifically, 75–80 percent of students are placed when companies visited the campus. The average package is 4.5–5 LPA in 2024. During campus placements (in the 4th year), for CSE (AI & ML) the highest package is 15 LPA, and the lowest package is 4 LPA. Some of the recruiting companies are Wipro, Tech Mahindra, TCS, HCL, and Lenskart.
Infrastructure: The campus is consistently described as spacious and well-equipped, with a "green, clean" environment and a variety of amenities. Classrooms are often smart and digital. smart boards and labs are available for various departments. The central library is frequently praised.
Faculty: There are multiple hostels, with secure accommodation, basic amenities, and services like mess and power backup. The campus includes sports grounds, gym, swimming pool, and indoor games. The facilities and the quality of education could be improved, somehow, I am satisfied.
Placements: Around 30 percent of students got placed from my course. The highest package is 12LPA, the lowest is 2.5 LPA, and the average is 4 LPA. TCS and Wipro are recruiting companies. 90% of the students got internships in Weble, Dataapace Academy, AI labs, etc. Roles offered are Trainer, Analyst, etc. So not that much, but my college gives placement.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is quite good, it's a green campus, trees are planted everywhere, and each department has a separate building. Roads are good, and hostels are also good. But classrooms are non-AC and desks vary in each class. And also, it's too hot in the summer in the classes.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified, and we also have some IIT graduate teachers. The curriculum is not that advanced for industry-ready. The semester exams are quite tough. The passing rate of the students is good. The questions are a little hard, but the teachers are so helpful.
Other: I chose this course because it has a growing demand in the job market. The lab infrastructure and the lab curriculum) practical) need to be improved. The University has different types of clubs, and the yearly fest is quite good. The University students are friendly, and scholarships are available (SVMCM). The university scholarships are also there (T&Q).

Placements: 80 to 85% of students are placed in our course. The highest package is 7 to 8 LPA, and the lowest package is 1 to 2 LPA. The average package is 4 to 5 LPA offered in our course. Top recruiting companies for our course are Macleods, Medplus, Woodland, etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for our course are good. Classrooms are digital, and every lab is present in the department for each subject. Library is also present in the department. The quality of the facilities in our hostel is not bad. Hostel graduation are here in hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They help us clear every doubt. They prepare us for industry interviews. 85% of students are placed through interviews. Three exams are conducted per semester: minor test 1, minor test 2, and end semester.
Other: This university is also big. This university is capable for students for higher studies. Scholarships and extracurricular activities are available.
