For most AICTE online courses, you do not need special software. You only need a device (laptop, tablet, or smartphone) with internet access. Some courses, like those related to virtual labs or simulations, may require specific software, but these details will be provided as part of the course instructions. What usually works in most scenarios are common web browsers and VLC, Chrome, Firefox, amongst others, that can play whatever video content will be used in such a course.

Absolutely. Many educational institutes, industries, and employers recognize AICTE's online courses, especially when conducted on platforms like SWAYAM and NPTEL. In such courses, AICTE, in collaboration with accrediting agencies, provides guidelines on standards for those courses.

Many AICTE online courses are offered for free, especially on platforms like SWAYAM and NPTEL. However, some courses may require a nominal fee for certification. You would need to pay for courses that provide additional learning materials or conduct exams, ensuring learners can receive a certificate upon successful completion. The courses will remain accessible for self-paced learning without any charge (do check before enrolling).
