Most universities grant SC/ST/OBC candidates a 5% reduction of the requirements.Candidates for the best BCA programmes must have at least 50% in their 10+2 or equivalents to be considered. Candidates for government colleges like Loyola College in Chennai must have a cumulative GPA of 50% and 70% in mathematics, which is a required subject. For consideration for admission to the BCA programme, applicants must have taken mathematics, English, or computer applications as one of their core disciplines. A few universities that offer admission to BCA through entrance exams are Chandigarh University, Delhi University, Indraprastha University, Christ University, and Bangalore University.
