On August 8, 2011, the Indian Institute of Mass Communication Aizawl, or IIMC Aizawl, was officially opened as the East Regional Centre of IIMC in order to expand its national footprint. It was founded to provide state information officials, public relations specialists, and media journalists with training. Yes, the Indian Institute of Mass Communication in Aizwal is a reputable university for students studying mass communication. Nevertheless, it only provides two post-graduate programs: the Post Graduate Diploma in Digital Media and the Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism English. The Post Graduate Diploma programs last for a full year. To apply for the Aizwal Entrance examination of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, candidates must have eligible scores in class 10 and class 12. The IIMC, Aizwal provides amenities such as sports facilities, media labs, a library, a hostel for boys and girls, etc.

The admission process of Mizoram University for all courses is entranced-based. Mizoram University, Aizawl accepts the scores/ ranks of its in-house or various national/ state-level or its in-entrance exams such as CUET UG, JEE Main, NATA, CAT, etc., for courses such as BA, BSc, BTech, BArch, MTech, and MBA, respectively. For the final selection, candidates need to clear the entrance exam and appear for Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds conducted by the university.
