RBU was established on 1962. At present, it has three faculties, namely, Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Fine Arts and Faculty of Visual Arts. Apart from the regular UG, PG and Doctoral programs Rabindra Bharati University (RBU) also offers MA & MSW programs in Distance Education mode. For further information visit DDE, Rabindra Bharati University Admission 2019. Students can download the application forms from the Online Admission Management System of the university.
RBU is an affiliating university. It offers UG, PG and Doctoral courses in its Main campus and in Jorasanko & Salt Lake campuses also.

It's not compulsory that you have to take arts to get admission here. The minimum requirement for admission is 45%(40% if you are from reserved category) in any stream from a recognized board. The admission is based on the entrance exam.
