Yes, this flying school indeed conducts entrance exam. But as the eligibility is 12th, syllabus for entrance test would surely be of similar difficulty level. I am attaching a link that will give you all the required information.

A student of mechanical engineering can always think of doing a flying course. But as a mechanical engineer in itself, one can get into aviation research since mechanical engineering experts are definitely required. Please do not worry about DGCAC exam. It's way far off. Firstly, you will have to complete your chosen aviation course. The institute from where you do this will make sure that you appear for many mock tests conducted on exactly same lines as that of DGCA exam.
