I understand that you want to be an aircraft engineer. For being an aircraft maintenance engineer you need to have an A.M.E. license for which you should enrol for B.Sc A.M.E. or A.M.E. You should look for such institutions which offer this course and pursue the training. Merely having a mechanical degree will not let you become an aircraft engineer.

Hello Vaibhav,
AME is the short form of aircraft maintenance engineer. This is a 3 year course leading to the degree of B.Sc. C in Mechanical or avionics subjects. Presently the Civil Aviation Sector in India is consistently showing almost 15 % growth rate due to this the requirement of aircraft has increased. As a result of the majority of the Indian Civil Aviation companies have given orders to acquire aircraft. Now with these many more aircraft in the country there is bound to be a huge requirement of professionals having B.Sc. In A.M.E. These professionals get around rupees 6 lacs as package per year.

Hi,
Duration of this course would be 16 months. The above course would give you a theoretical knowledge only.
Training in commercial flying can be taken with flying clubs, the Rashtriya Udan Academy, Private Flying academies or with flying schools abroad.

NDA is one such opportunity, which provides you to become a fighter pilot in the Indian Air Force, but it is not necessary that you become through NDA only you can apply for pilot in IAF after doing your aeronautical engineering from private University through graduate entries I like AFCAT CDSE etc.
