For BAMS the student needs to qualify 12th with science stream or any other equivalent examination recognised by the concerned state government and education board, provided the candidates passes the examination with 50% aggregate marks in subjects of physics, chemistry and biology.

There are 5 subjects in 1st year: Shareera Rachana (Anatomy) - Here you have to study both, i.e., the Ayurvedic aspect as well as the Modern aspect of anatomy. It has 2 parts.
