Eligibility & Admission
The basic requirement for the eligibility to get the admission to BAMS programme is qualifying the 10+2 examination with science stream. The candidate must have the physics, chemistry and biology in 12th class. The candidate should have to go through the national level entrance examination like NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test). Candidates also apply for state level examinations such as:
OJEE (Odisha Joint Entrance Examination)
KEAM (Kerala Engineering, Agriculture and Medical)
GCET (Goa Common Entrance Test)
The selection of the candidate is based on the final merit as the sum of the total numbers obtain

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery: Admission Process
Process of admission to the course may vary across institutes. Some institutes conduct their own entrance exams for selecting and admitting candidates, while some select students on the basis of their score at the 10+2 level alone, compulsorily completed with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects.

After pursuing BAMS degree, you can open a clinic. But, if you have pursued D.Pharma, you cannot. With D.Pharma, you are eligible to get a license of a pharmacist, thus you can open a medical store.

You can take NEET, as in various colleges, admission for BAMS is through NEET. Also, in some colleges separate entrance exam is conducted.

Hi Raj,
Graduation course in Ayurveda is called as BAMS or Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery, while in Homeopathy it is called as BHMS or Bachelor of Homeopathic Medical and Surgery.
In Ayurvedic Medical Science, the students will be taught entire subjects that involve knowledge of this field, inclusive of modern science. In this course, the study load for students will be more as compared to MBBS and BHMS.
In BHMS, students will learn only some areas of modern science, while the other subjects will be mainly focusing on homeopathic medicines. When it comes to study load, it will be equal to MBBS or even slightly more as well. H
