yes you can carry on firstly you have to clear the atkt while studying for your next sem mean you have to study both the atkt and the present sam also. All the best!

Most of the college do not have this facilities. There are very few colleges that allow this.

All the authors are good and I will advise you to first go and examine the author's book from library to check if you like the book or not and then by it.
