There is a clause that states “Should a student leave after joining the course and if the seat consequently falling vacant has been filled by another candidate by the last date of admissions, the Institution must return the fee collected with proportionate deductions on a monthly fee and proportionate hostel rent, wherever applicable” by UGC regulation F. No 6-1(7)/2006(CPP-I).

To be eligible for the admission to B.Tech at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET), Jain (Deemed-to-be University), Bangalore, the candidate must pass a 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of Chemistry, Electronics, Computer Science, or Biology. The minimum marks for the general category are 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) in the 12th from a recognized board. 

Candidates are required to appear for one of the following entrance exams: KCET, COMEDK UGET or JET (Jain Entrance Test). 

The selection is done based on entrance exam scores, counselling, document verification, and final selection based on entrance exam scores and other relevant factors.
