With 94.4% in CBSE 12th, eligibility for B.Tech programs clears easily, as LPU focuses on 60%+ in PCM from 12th. JEE Mains Paper 1 at 80 marks and Paper 2 at 210 exceed typical 80-percentile thresholds for engineering streams like CSE. Strong scores qualify for top scholarships too. LPU stands out with its innovative curriculum blending AI/ML projects, industry-oriented certifications from Google/Microsoft, and robust placements—over 4500 offers for 2026 batch from Amazon, Cognizant, securing high packages for skilled grads.

With 113 marks in JEE Mains Paper 1, securing a BTech seat at LPU looks feasible, as general category thresholds hover around 80-90 percentile, often paired with LPUNEST or 12th marks above 60-70% for confirmation via their portal by July 2026. LPU's curriculum emphasizes industry collaborations with firms like Google and Bosch, blending live projects, internships, and outcome-based modules for practical skills. Placement outcomes shine, with over 6,000 offers in 2025 from 2,225+ recruiters, engineering highs up to INR2.5 Cr (top 10% averaging 40+ LPA in CSE), and strong rates near 88-90%.

Yeah, Thapar does have that board merit route with JEE as a tiebreaker.
For CSE at Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, it's quite competitive even through boards.
Rough idea:
- You usually need around 95–97%+ in PCM to be safe
- With 93–95%, chances become borderline (depends on year)
- JEE percentile helps only in tie situations
Cutoffs fluctuate every year based on demand, but CSE is always the highest.
So if your board % is very strong, you've got a shot — otherwise it gets tough 👍

I understand how incredibly frustrating it is to prepare for an exam using resources that are formatted poorly, or worse, factually incorrect—especially in a subject as precise as Organic Chemistry where a single misplaced bond or atom changes everything.
