No, the counseling sessions are held on different days for all the programmes offered by Jamia Millia Islamia. Admission to all Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Post Graduate Diploma, Diploma and Certificate programs offered by the University is done through entrance test and counselling. University releases the subject-wise counselling schedule along with the result. The fee structure will be different for students with different ranks. It is known as fees slab and every student is placed into a slab with respect to his/her performance in the entrance exam. For slab 1 it would be 1,00,000 INR, for slab 2 will be 1,50,000, for slab 3 it is 1,75,000 and for slab 4 (Regular fees) it is 2,25,000 INR. Earlier, Amrita used to conduct their own entrance exams known as Amrita Entrance Examinations - Engineering (AEEE) for admission of BE. But later on starting from academic year 2021-2022, they decided to consider JEE Mains scores for admissions to its B.E. programs.
Candidates are required to qualify in the JEE Main examination and meet the cutoff set by the university for eligibility. At the undergraduate level, Sathyabama University offers 42 months to four-year B.E./BTech courses to students. The eligibility crietria to apply for the BTech course is Class 12 with a minimum of 45 percent aggregate and the accepted entrance exam is SAEEE and TNEA.
