Selection parameters for B.E./B.Tech courses at Guru Nanak Institute of Technology include entrance scores. A minimum of class 12 board with compulsory subjects being physics, math, and the third is to be attended from any group. GNIT considers valid marks scored in all entrance examinations including JEE Main, WBJEE, CEE AMPAI, where only the entry examination score counts. The merit-based seats in GNIT will remain vacant if it has unused entrance-based quota.
