Admission to the course is based on the candidates performance in a relevant entrance examination, such as GATE, CEED, TANCET etc. some such exams are listed here with their details.
GATE- Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is conducted jointly by IITs and the Indian Institute of Science. The minimum eligibility to take the test is graduation.
CEED- Common Entrance Examination for Design is conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and IITs.
Also, there are some colleges and universities that conduct their own entrance tests for admission to the course, while some offer direct admission too. Candidates aspiring for admission to the course need to have completed graduation in Architecture from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate score of 50%. Regards.

Bachelor of planning graduates are eligible to pursue Master of Planning as well as relevant M.Tech and M.Sc. courses. Other than Master's Degree courses, graduates are also eligible to pursue relevant PG Diploma courses!
Master of Planning course can be pursued to specialize in disciplines such as-
Transport Planning
Landscape Architecture
Housing Urban Design and Planning
Architectural Conservation and Restoration
Housing Environmental Planning
SALARY
At start, planning professionals may earn anywhere between 15-40k Rupees per month. Starting salary depends in factors like profile of the employer (Government job, Private sector job or entrepreneurship), job profile, location of the job, etc. With time, planning professionals may gain valuable work experience.
