Biotechnology Eligibility.
The basic eligibility criteria for pursuing B.Sc (Hons. ) (Biotechnology) degree, is qualifying 10+2 or equivalent examination with any three out of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics or Computer Science as subjects studied at intermediate level.

There are 50 seats available in B.Sc biotechnology in PSG College of Arts and Science.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Candidate should have passed (10+2) or High School Senior Secondary exam with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Statistics/Botany, etc., by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or any equivalent exam conducted by any State Board or equivalent.
2. He/She should have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate.
Admission Process:
1. Admission is based on the merit.

There are jobs in the agricultural, pharmaceuticals, medical and various other fields, making it a very flexible subject. Also, there are many independent Biotechnology startup companies that promise a good future. After a few years' experience, the salary does increase, as does your market value.

Advantages of doing B.Sc Biotechnology
The major advantage of doing a B.Sc Course in this subject is that the course duration is short, when compared to a BE /B.Tech Programme. B.Sc course takes 3 years to complete, whereas BE /B.Tech.
