Hi Lakshmi,
The eligibility criteria for nearly all universities in India is a 12th or equivalent pass with minimum 50%.
Whether you do it in Arts, Science, Commerce or Vocational, it hardly rarely matters.

Biotechnology Eligibility.
The basic eligibility criteria for pursuing B.Sc (Hons. ) (Biotechnology) degree, is qualifying 10+2 or equivalent examination with any three out of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics or Computer Science as subjects studied at intermediate level.

Hello dear, eligibility for B.Sc Chemistry is to pass in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths and English and a minimum of 45% marks is taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Maths. Only Science stream candidates are eligible for B.Sc courses.

To apply for M.Sc. In Plant Science you should have graduation degree in agriculture or biological sciences with minimum 50% from any recognised university. If you have interest to become researcher or lecturer in plant Science you can take the CSIR NET Exam. It is a national level exam which is organized to examine the ability of candidates to become a research fellow or lecturer. It is a outstanding gateway to make a bright future. Eligibility varies from university to university. Also, these days universities are offer B.Tech in Biotech, which is better than B.Sc. As it is a professional degree whereas B.Sc. Is just a general degree. Many good private universities like VIT, LPU, SRM, etc. are offering admissions in B.Tech. These private universities offer admission on the basis of tests like JEE and their own tests. Some offer you direct admission too on the basis of your marks in previous qualifying exam.
